It's nice to live in the moment without worrying about mistakes from the past and possible difficulties in the future. The reality is that it is quite difficult to simply live for the moment as you wish. We cannot simply isolate the fact that to live a life of promise today, some sacrifices have to be made. Often these sacrifices do much to amplify our anxiety, stress and worry.  Rejoice, for there is a way! What is meditation Meditation is an effective way to reduce anxiety, stress, and worry. It can neutralize the stress-producing activities of the mind without sacrificing your performance and alertness. Meditation can help you feel happier, relieve chronic pain, fight stress, promote health, get better sleep, and achieve much-needed peace of mind. Here are simple but effective tips Always maintain proper posture You can meditate cross-legged on the floor or sit in a chair, just make sure your back is straight. A straight back can help you stay focused and not let your mind wander. Open your eyes and focus Some people find it more comfortable to close their eyes while meditating, but when you do, your thoughts drift away and you get lost. Keep your eyes open and lower them for a moment to soften your gaze. However, if you're confident that you can clear your thoughts and stay focused with your eyes closed, you can close them, especially when it's more comfortable for you. Count your breath When you meditate, it's important to pay attention to your breathing, which can help ground you in the present moment. Breathe in and out naturally. As you exhale, silently count to 1, on the next exhale, count to 2, and until the count to 4, go back to 1. When your thoughts start to wander, you start to worry so much, or you suddenly find yourself counting to twenty, immediately start counting again from 1 and only to 4. You can count again only after you have counted 4.

 

It is natural to experience different emotions, but you must prevent yourself from being manipulated by your emotions.  Choose the right place and time Some people can focus more when they hear soothing music, but nothing beats the sound of silence when meditating. When you hear complete silence, you can experience what your mind is doing. You feel calm and balanced. A soothing feeling envelops you and you feel calm. You can choose a different place to meditate and make sure you will not be disturbed. Choose the most suitable time for meditation, it can be early in the morning or late at night.  You can meditate for a few minutes or go for more than an hour. Do what you feel is right. Enjoy yourself to the max Meditation must be pleasant and enjoyable for you. Make sure you have the right posture, nothing is affecting your concentration, and it's the right time and place. You don't need an hour to meditate. You can start with a few minutes and add just a little each day with a hint of a smile on your face.
