A Simple Detox Bath That Helps Eliminate Heavy Metals

A simple detox bath that helps eliminate heavy metals

You can have chelation therapy for a small fortune with some results, or you can take this simple bath once, twice or three times for a fraction of the cost but with excellent results. Buy at least 5 pounds of bentonite clay for the average woman, allowing for an additional pound of clay for every additional 20 pounds of human body weight, up to 10 pounds for larger adults. However, this therapy is not recommended for obese, sick, or elderly people, as the detox can be too demanding. You can google the label Aztec mud or plain bentonite clay online or find it in some health food stores. 1. Run the water as hot as you can safely handle. You will need to block the overflow drain with a cloth or plug so that the tub can fill as deep as you need it for this soak. 2. Pour most of the clay into a few inches of water and set aside one pound. (If your tub is one of the larger ones, you'll still need an extra pound or two of clay.) Shake the clay in the water to dissolve it well. 3. Get into the tub as it fills, bend over and let it fill until it's over your shoulders. Getting the water hot once you're in it is easier than running hot water, to begin with. It's okay if your knees stick out.  4. Mix the last pound of clay in a bowl of hot water until it's like a gooey clay mask. Not too runny. Apply the mask to the face, neck, and around the head. Yes, even in the hair to detox the scalp and brain. Of course, don't cover your eyes. 5. Soak in the tub for at least 20 minutes. For best results, stay inside until the water starts to cool. 6. Before you get out, rinse your head and neck under the water, then stand up and rinse your entire body under the shower while the tub drains. After drying, wrap yourself in towels from head to toe.  Bentonite will do some cleaning on its way. Just remember to rinse the tub thoroughly when the tub is drained so mud doesn't cover the tub. 8. Drink a glass of good water before the bath and have one after the bath. 9. Then you want to lie down and rest or go to sleep because you may feel tired or faint. It is good to give the body time to recover from the detox. Also, wrap the towels in a blanket and cover them to prevent chills. When you step into the tub, you'll notice that it's a light sand color. When you get out, you'll notice that it's now gray, even dark gray or black, depending on how much heavy metal has been pulled out of your system. This is one way to measure your detox progress - if your next bath water is lighter at the end, you're doing well. Continue bathing, perhaps once a week, until the water is as clear at the end as it was at the beginning. Also, on the days you plan to take a detox bath, eat lightly and drink plenty of good water to flush out anything that gets stirred up. This bath is a must for children these days because they receive so many vaccines that are formulated with heavy metals. Research has linked heavy metals, particularly mercury (which can lodge in the brain), to ADD/ADHD and autistic disorders, and aluminum to Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Also, never allow your teeth or your children's teeth to come into contact with mercury, gold, aluminum, or any heavy metal. Most adults have absorbed heavy metals and toxins from antiperspirants, processed foods, cooking in aluminum pots and pans, dental work, etc. We could all use at least one of these baths, if not a series of three, five, or ten, to keep our health from now on back on track and towards a higher level of wellness in the future.
