Don't forget to drink lots of water! This is done through physical fitness and will build not only your body but also your mind. You will also be a great example to your family and peers, perhaps motivating them to join you and get involved. When you're outside on a beautiful day doing something you love, time flies, so it's easier to stay motivated to be more active and not sit on the couch all day doing nothing with your life. Depending on where you live in the world, summer isn't that long, maybe 3-4 months a year, so take advantage of that and make the most of it. Do something that you've been meaning to try or that you've been doing that you've enjoyed and just haven't made the time for.
